A Day When Nothing Went Right – Part 2

The Day when Nothing Went Right

It was the first day of grade 5. I was very excited. We were having a Science test for revision. The Syllabus was filled with chapters. I prepared very well for the exam. But in the morning, I was very nervous and kept on thinking about the exam. My class started but the test was not uploaded. I waited for 2 hours. Then the school said that the exam is cancelled. I was very angry. Then we had a dance class. I have been practising this dance for so long. I learned stunt and many difficult steps. As soon as I joined the class, my internet got disconnected due to a power cut. On my mobile, my brother was attending his test and none of the phones in my house was free. I was getting angry because I missed my dance class and many more classes. I went to my room and started punching my Punching Bag. I punched it so hard that it tore. There was a mess in my whole room. My mom was angry and told me to clean the room. Somehow, I managed to clean my room. I was also feeling hot. No AC, no fan and no cooler. I literally bath with the sweat. It was lunchtime, my mom planned to bake my favourite cake but due to a power cut, the microwave couldn’t work. I was frustrated, I had only the option to eat the vegetables of Ladyfinger which I dislike. After lunch, I decided to take a nap for time to pass. In my dream, I saw that I was kidnapped and locked in a big bungalow. It was a haunted house. My legs were frozen. I heard a sound. I felt like someone was climbing the stairs and coming towards me. I turned back and saw Valak which was in the movie Conjuring 2. I ran as fast as I could. I went inside the basement. It was completely dark. I started to walk. I heard someone catching my footsteps. I stopped and the sound stopped too. I started to walk and again I heard someone catching up in my footsteps. I turned back and someone jumped towards me and then I waked up. I slept for 2 hours. I relaxed and took a deep breath. All the phones in my home were discharged except my father’s phone. Only 15% charging was left in my father’s phone. My dad checked the news channel website and got the news that the PM has announced lockdown for 2 weeks. I was thinking to bring Ice-cream to cool myself but due to lockdown, I was not able to go out. It was evening. My favourite action series was coming on TV and I wanted to watch that for so long. But I was not able to watch the TV. And also, on that day India had an important cricket match. If India loses, India would be out of the World Cup. I was quite worried about the match because I couldn’t see the match due to Power Cut. I had my coding class at 7:30 and that also I missed. After that, I finally had my dinner. For dinner, my mom made the vegetable Bottle Gourd which I hate. After my dinner, I checked my school’s homework on my father’s phone. The homework was so lengthy. I connected my ultimate setup of the led light to the power bank but it didn’t work. Then I had to use the torch. I was not expecting to complete my homework this night but somehow, I managed to complete my homework. It was around 11 pm when I finished my homework and went to bed. I have a habit of sleeping in a blanket. I can’t sleep without a blanket. Due to Power Cut, I couldn’t on the AC. I was sweating. Somehow, I managed to sleep. The next morning was not bad. Thank God, everything went right. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you soon.

  1. Save power man, use a fan instead of an AC when possible.

    1. But I like to watch Horror Movies. Everybody’s choice is different. Maybe I’ll stop watching Horrow Movies now. Thanks for the comment.
