Can Foreigner Become the Prime Minister of India?

The leaders of Bharatiya Janta Party have been constantly defaming Mrs Sonia Gandhi based on her foreign origin, and are creating obstacles in her life so that she could not attain the position of the Prime Minister. Now, the question is whether the person of foreign origin could become the Prime Minister of India or not? The answer is yes, but, he must be loyal towards India, else he would not be allowed to become the Prime Minister. Till yet, Sonia Gandhi has portrayed her loyalty towards India, thus she is eligible for the post of Prime Minister. But, if she wants to remain in the post of prime minister then, she must dedicate her soul, heart and mind to the development of our Nation. She must fulfil all the promises she had made for the elimination of poverty in India. She ought to be humble and sympathetic towards the plight of India. India needs a prime minister, who does not dominate with mere claims but work for the welfare of people. If Sonia Gandhi is willing to do so, none should create obstacles in her life. She should be allowed to become the Prime Minister. India does not want a ruler, but a friend of the people. Sonia Gandhi possesses the qualities to be a friend of the people, thus she is an eligible candidate for the post of the PM. Recently, Mrs Sushma Swaraj and Uma Bharti threatened to resign if Sonia was made the Prime Minister. They should take such wrong steps for the wrong reasons. They must love the person who is loyal to our country. The opposition parties should take the role of critics, who do not criticise others for vested interests but criticise in a way to correct the flaws of the Government. They should criticise the government to prompt the administrators to perform their duties efficiently.
An honest foreigner is far better than a corrupt Indian, who amassed the national wealth for vested interests. Just imagine what would happen to India if corrupt politician like Laloo Prasad Yadav become the Prime Minister of India? He would steal away the entire wealth of the nation himself and make the nation bankrupt. Sonia Gandhi is far better than our corrupt leaders, who don’t have any sympathies for others but are stealing away the nation’s wealth for self gains. One of the best qualities in Sonia Gandhi is her Compassionate attitude. She feels the plight of her countrymen and has a keen desire to work for them. She also knows how to keep good relations with the other countries of the world. She could prove to be a good leader if she doesn’t change her personality. She ought to remain in her humble self and dedicate her whole life to the progress and prosperity of the country. If she does so, she would create an everlasting impact on the minds and hearts of the people.
