Just as a shadow prevails till the sunshine and thereafter eliminates, the same way, a false friend pretends to be a friend when one is wealthy and famous but runs away at his downfall. The false friend feels happy at the miseries of their friend and jealous at his so-called friend’s success. He is an enemy in the disguise of a friend. He ruins the career and life of the person by creating obstacles in his life.
Such false friends would talk very politely with you to grab you in the clutches and thereafter begin to exploit you when you become weak. They would be sweet to you when you are in a high position, but once you fall from your position, they would show their true colours. Once they find you weak, they would begin to torture and exploit you at every step and treat you like dirt. There are many innocent people in the world who come into the shrewd talks of such false friends and ruin their lives and career. Some of the wealthiest people of the world became bankrupt after trapped in the talks of such evil people.

These evil people prompt the rich people to write big cheques in their names and give them their entire property. They take blank cheques from their so-called friends and take over all their accounts from the banks. They make many excuses to cheat them.
Sometimes they would say that they have fallen sick and thus they need a lot of money for hospitalization. They would ask for blank cheques from their friends. Then they would accumulate the entire wealth of their friends and run away to some other country. The false friends have very deceptive personalities. They pretend to be innocent but are shrewd from inside. They are the devils in disguise of an angel. We must be beware of them. If we wish to know the facts of such kind of personalities, then we must portray ourselves as poor people. We should say, we are suffering heavy losses in business and are into debts. We are going to sell our entire property to give to our creditors. Then, the false friends would show their true colours. They would begin to speak rudely with you and flee away from the sight. They would start ignoring you and if ever you talk to them, you would have to suffer public humiliation as they would insult you before people and make fun of you. It is best to test a person before making a friend. Watch whether he helps you in your times of distress or not. Some people may help you in the times of your need to befool you later on. You would naturally start considering a person, kind and benevolent who is a little helpful to you. But later on, the same person, who portrayed kindness to you initially, may transform into an enemy, as he might be portraying kindness to accumulate your entire wealth and property. Therefore, be careful while making friends, as there are people of deceptive personalities, who pretend to be your friend but are your greatest enemy in the world.
