All That Glitters Is Not Gold

It is the nature of the human being to get attracted towards beautiful persons and things, though they may not have a trace of internal beauty.

Just like a gold coated ornament, that becomes an ordinary metal, once its polish is eliminated, the same way, many beautiful persons and things have deceptive appearances. They may be as alluring as gold from outside but once, they show their true colours, they tend to become as ugly as coal.

A person is known by his deeds in the world. If an exceptional beautiful person does evil deeds, he is the ugliest person in the world, but if an ugly looking person does good deeds, he is one of the most beautiful persons of the world. A person becomes beautiful with his good deeds. Handsome is he, who handsome does.

If a beautiful person possesses the inner qualities of love and comparison, he is undoubtedly a worthy soul, but if a beautiful person has a deceptive personality, then he ought to be condemned by the society for his evil deeds.

There are many people who come under the clutches of good-looking personalities, which is wrong. People must judge the person by his deeds, not by his upper appearance.

There are many people who get attracted towards good looking candidates and give them their votes. This is not right. The people should judge the nature, honesty and ability of the candidates to lead the country. The candidate must possess an ability to lead the country to happiness and prosperity. He must be able to eliminate the poverty, corruption and solve the problems of the nation peacefully. If he is able to do that, he should be selected, whether he is good looking or not. It is not essential that only a good-looking person can be a good administrator. An ugly person may do a better job than a good looking one, if he is smarter and more dynamic than his rival. A person may be good looking or not, but he ought to be judged by his inner qualities, not by mere upper appearance alone. If we peep into the past, we would find how common looking leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King became handsome with their handsome deeds.

The ugliest people of the world become beautiful with beautiful deeds while a good-looking man may not possess a beautiful heart. Not every beautiful person is truely beautiful, just like “all that glitters is not gold”. Therefore, we ought to judge the personality of the person through his inner qualities, not through mere upper appearance all alone because;
Why proud of your God gifted beauty today,
This short living beauty would fade away,
your physical body would eliminate,
There is no time for quarrel and hate,
Throw your false ego, now and today,
as your physical body would fade away.
