The Wearer Best Knows Where The Shoe Pinches

As the wearer best knows, where the shoe pinches, the same way, only a person, who had suffered anguish and pain in his life, can understand the plight of other people. Who have led a comfortable life, free of sorrows don’t know the sorrows of others. Such people make fun of poor and diseased people, who are already leading a miserable life. They only realise the pain of others, when they themselves become poor and diseased due to their evil deeds. Then they realise, how wrong they were at poking fun of others in their grief. There are many lawyers in the courts, who fight false cases of wealthy neople and refuse to take poor man’s case, even if he is right. They have lost their conscience. They sell their conscience for the sake of money. They don’t care, whether the poor man lives or dies. They simply want to make money for their own omforts. They don’t have any sympathy for others. They don’t feel the plight of others because they are leading a Comfortable life themselves. If the same advocates become poor and miserable, then they would come to know the plight of others. Then they would realise what is grief? What is sorrow? How miserable is the condition of poor and discovered just like the lawyers, who keep on lieing about law to make money. The politicians, too, are heartless and cruel. Most of the politicians give big promises to poor people, but do nothing to eliminate poverty. They gobble up the entire wealth of the nation themselves and levy heavy taxes on the shoulders of poor people to bring more miseries for them. Innumberable poor people who are unable to face the miseries of life, commit suicide. The heartless politicians don’t have any pity for them. But the evil persons have to suffer the outcome of their evil deeds one day.
One day they lose their position, power and wealth and become defamed in the society for their evild deeds. The same people who used to worship them like God, throw stones at them. Now, the politicians realise how cruel they were with the poor people.
They repent for their evil deeds. Some of the politicians, who are shameless as brutes don’t even repent for their deeds. They only repent before their death. They don’t repent in their whole lifetime because they don’t want to accept the fact that they are sinners. Inspite of doing all wrongs, they want to show to the people that they are doing right. These types of people are sooner or later exposed, and are, thus, highly condemned by the society. To understand the plight of poor people, the politicians should stay in slum areas for sometimes and know about their grievances and problems only then can they solve them.
One should keep himself at other’s place to understand his plight. When you are in a comfortable situation, you don’t realise the pain and tribulations of others. Therefore, it is essential to keep oneself in other place, to realise their plight because “The wearer best knows where the shoe pinches”.
