Why India is the Worst place to drive a car

The Indian car market has never offered any high-performance cars and has tons of cars that don’t even have 70 HP but why is this?

This is because The Indian car market wants a cheap and reliable car that will get you from point A to point B and most Indians don’t care about performance and HP and torque figures. The perfect example of this ruining a good car is the DC Avanti which is a “sports car” which was made in India. It has a little tiny 4 cylinder engine with 250 HP and that is because they wanted to keep the car cheap and also make some power but they failed miserably while trying to do these things because the DC Avanti was priced at a whopping 50 lakhs which made it expensive and also it only made 250 HP and for 50 lakhs you can get an Audi RS 3 which has 400 horsepower and can get to 100 kph in just 3.9 seconds which just proves that India can’t make a sports car that could compete with other foreign brands. Now when buying an 80 HP car you would want to modify the car to make more power but the thing is that most Indians don’t care about power and instead modify the looks of their cars and make their cars heavier which makes the car slower and also for some reason Indians like loud cars and I mean really loud cars and to do this the most used way to do this is remove the catalytic converter and the muffler, doing this can lead to your car emitting tons of bad pollutants, in the rare case when Indians want to increase the power of their cars they can’t do it because in India car parts are insanely costly and some parts are priced at double the price of the average Indian car. In the really rare case when a rich person trying to modify their car to make more power but they usually don’t do it because they have to get their car certified by the RTO to drive it on the road after modifying their car. The Supreme Court of India on January 2019 ruled that no motor vehicle in the country can be modified or altered in such a way which makes the data about the car differ from the modified version of the car, this is a good rule but many people don’t care about this rule and go and modify their cars in ways that alter the data of the car and on that note, I will end this blog. Bye!
